Celesta (Planet)

by Arthur Breur | Jun 3, 2026

Rocky planet.

Originally dry and lifeless but well-suited to terraforming.

Humanite-standard-range gravity.

Site of a "failed" terraforming project for "Type I Nitrogen/Oxygen" atmosphere breathers. At some point the automated process miscalculated, and the planet ended up with far more water than was desired, covering even the highest parts of the previously dead world entirely with water. By this time, ocean life had been seeded; the terraforming process in use included an initial step of establishing full, balanced ecosystems in a planet's water bodies to aid and balance the other terraforming efforts.

With the water error, the project was put on "long hold" and during this state is when Q'Enmari arrived.

At least one relatively small, close moon, captured.

Suitable magnetic field, low orbital tilt, day length slightly different from humanite standard, and orbit of about the length of 14 standard "month" counts of days. (Between 392 and 434 of its days.)
