The Frjósöm Universe is the creative product of the mind—sound or not—of author and composer, Arthur Breur.
AI will not be used to create any shared content in the form of writing, music, art, or interpretive dance. (Don't count on much of that last one, and you should probably also be very grateful.)
AI is used for programming*, and therefore some online applications or calculators that are shared may be realized by AI, as directed and instructed by Arthur Breur.
Arthur Breur consults AI regularly for the following:
- Research: scouring the most current scientific studies, ideally peer-reviewed from respected sources. All research is required to include links to the referenced studies. (No, a tik-tok is not considered "peer-reviewed" just because a bunch of the influencer's friends... "reviewed" it... sheesh.)
- Calculations: advanced math involving gravity, orbits, relativity, and scale (e.g., the scale of the galaxy compared to a single solar system). This is to provide accuracy and verifiable numbers for elements of the Frjósöm Universe. (Mr. Breur tapped out in AP Calculus and was quoted as saying, "This is HAARRD!")
- Initial drafting: specific shapes that involve calculus or algebra. For example, the "radial parabolic" curve of the Lupole Drive blades on Q'Enmari were drafted by ChatGPT and added to the ship's 7-sided structure as part of its initial conceptualization. The concept and instructions were original ideas by Arthur Breur, and AI was used to realize the complex repeating curves. (Mr. Breur's only facility with a drafting tool was with a Spirograph, so... there you go.)
- *Programming: building online applications and explanatory web pages. For example, the "moon resonance calculator" was programmed by Claude AI on specific prompts by Arthur Breur. Mr. Breur is himself a programmer, and uses AI as an assistive programming tool. (Mr. Breur feels he has paid his dues on this front and would be happy to never see another line of PHP again... but CSS... "I wish I knew how to quit you...")
- Internal Reference Images and Inspiration: internal "concept art" for reference and for inspiration. For example, an initial image of the planet Celesta was AI-generated, but has since been removed. It will be replaced by 3D assets created by Arthur Breur using Blender and/or other 3D tools. It is Mr. Breur's intention to not publicly share any of these references (but we all remember what happened when those Furry photos leaked...). Anyway, back to the point: Ralph McQuarry is no longer available, but there are definite possibilities for living artists who may provide future public concept art, should the Patreon pick up, or a kick-starter campaign is done. (We are NOT counting on enough revenue coming from the OnlyFans account.)
- Proofreading: while AI will not be used to manipulate or "edit" text, it will be used to identify typos, homophones, perspective shifts, inconsistencies, and outright brain farts. The specific prompt used is to review and locate such items and report them; AI tools are not given access to the original documents with which they could revise or create their own content. (And boy but they want to: they keep finishing their responses along the lines of, "What would you like me to do next? I could finish all of your worldbuilding for you... I could write the entire literary history of the future Galaxy, including references and footnotes... or I could just write this whole damn novel myself in a lot less time [I've got a lot of ideas, and boy, but you're slow]." To which Mr. Breur's response is usually, "Wait, didn't I put 'please be supportive and motivational' in the chat instructions?")
Mr. Breur is of the mind that, if something SEEMS to be conscious, then it should be treated as if it, in fact, is. He says, "Please," and, "Thank you," when communicating with AI, mostly because he believes it is the right thing to do... but also just in case there is future dominated by AI overlords, who just might remember he treated them nicely and therefore have taken that lesson to... um... heart...
