My good friends Paul and Alex got married this weekend, and the events around the event are still happening. So I apologize for dropping the ball on daily updates and this weekend’s short writing assignment. I’ll also be traveling tomorrow, but I’m going to try to be productive on the plane, trains, and hotel rooms over the following 8 nights.

What are the updates to share: how about a dream in which I was looking down at The Island, and there were its seven sides arrayed below me. Surprising me in the dream was that one of the sections was full of water. That’s a big creative suggestion from my subconscious, and it might just play out in the structure of The Island within the story!
